COLLEGE FAIRS

Each year, more than 100’s of students attended college fairs seeking information about colleges, universities and other post-secondary institutions. Our college fairs allow students and parents to discuss all aspects of institutions, admission procedures, financial aid opportunities and much more!

In partnership with Cricket Communications, BBMP & Cricket award two high school seniors with $500 scholarships for the 2013 college fall semester. Ms. Williams will attend Mississippi State College and Mr. Echols will attend Middle Tenneesse State University. They both attended Southwind High School.

 

Building Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship Fund

 

The  Building Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship Fund offers financial support of $500. The scholarship is available to graduating seniors who are at risk of not completing their education due to a disruption in personal funding. Stephon and Catina Smallwood who founded BBMP and Executives from Cricket Communications thought it would be imperative to create a scholarship that would help keep deserving young people in school, and help them achieve their ultimate goal of graduating from a 4 year college or university.

 

CRITERIA FOR SCHOLARSHIP:

  • Applicants must be a US citizen and a graduating high school senior planning to attend a four-year college/university during the 2013 fall year.

  • Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 grading scale.                                                 

  • Applicants will be judge on the following: compelling essay, academic achievements, evidence of leadership and community service.

  • Applicants must be a resident of Memphis or Shelby County Areas

  • For the 2013 academic year the amount of the scholarship will be approximately $500
